The City and The City is a unique theatre experience with no actors and audience members being vital to the experience. It’s getting a lot of buzz in the media!
The Vancouver Sun’s Shawn Conner interviewed Daniel Martin, the Artistic Director behind The City and The City about speculative fiction, Black Mirror,
and China Miéville’s reaction to the adaptation of his novel.
The Georgia Straight’s Andrea Warner spoke with Director Kendra Fanconi about how “her feelings of present-day dystopia” and her love of murder mysteries fueled the creation of The City and The City.
Sheryl MacKay from CBC Radio’s North by Northwest spoke with Daniel Martin (at the 55 minute mark) about themes of community, the violence of adaptation, and the act of “unseeing” each other in life and in the play.
