Space Theatre for Social Change

By admin | March 23, 2017

Every generation has a name. Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and in a world created by Mily Mumford, the Post Script Generation.

In an Indiegogo campaign video Mily talks about this mis-matched group of 20-somethings who through “circumstances beyond their control have ended up bonding over their shared anxieties and their desire for a planet they never got to have.” Think Stranger Things mixed with Black Mirror. And also with spaceships, ’80s kitsch, hover-boards, and a Facebot.

Far from just a teen romp, as Mily explains, Generation Post Script aims to shed light on systems of oppression in our current society while also discussing our current political climate, climate change, and what the future holds for the Post Script Generation and us all.

In case you missed it, check out this Q&A with Mily where she talks about her inspiration for the show,
how much of it is actually sci-fi and how much is based on reality, and why she’s calling it the Breakfast Club in space.

Generation Post Script is landing at Studio 1398 April 11-16.
