2016 is Solo Collective’s 16th year producing original plays by new writers. They’ve won numerous theatre awards and been nominated for many others, including awards for Outstanding Original Play. This year they’re producing Katey Hoffman’s new play Green Lake, a quirky, heartfelt comedy about going to camp as a teenager and reconnecting with family later in life. It’s a wonderful slice of life piece of theatre from a brand-new writer and the show’s been garnering some buzz!
Daily Hive has declared Green Lake one of the “10 hottest Vancouver arts shows in November.”
Vancouver Plays points out Green Lake’s “stellar, diverse cast.”
Vancouver Presents interviewed playwright Katey Hoffman and Solo Collective’s Artistic Director, Aaron Bushkowsky, who says “[Katey’s] use of language, playfulness, and theatricality are like a breath of fresh air.”
Green Lake is on now through November 27! Buy your tickets now or get them at the door starting 45 minutes before show time.
