The Vancouver Fringe Theatre Society (who also manage Theatre Wire) staff and board are actively monitoring COVID-19 developments and looking to the Public Health Agency of Canada, HealthLink BC, and BC Centre for Disease Control for guidance and recommendations as we institute new operational practices for our September Festival and scheduled year-round presentations.
The safety of our audiences, artists, volunteers, staff, and community is always our first priority. With the new recommendations all Theatre Wire and Fringe Presents productions scheduled until the end of April 2020 have been postponed with the exception of Theatre Under the Gun, which has been moved to an online/streaming format. This event will still happen on April 21. Time and link TBA.
Ticket holders will be contacted directly regarding rescheduled dates and purchase options.
For up-to-date information regarding productions and performances sold through Theatre Wire please check with presenting companies directly: dream of passion productions‘ A Kid Like Jake and Cookies & cream collective‘s Consensual.
The Fringe will continue to monitor this situation closely as our September Festival approaches and will provide ongoing updates as needed. We strongly encourage all patrons to stay home if exhibiting symptoms and to remain up-to-date through the links provided above, along with additional trusted sources. The Fringe website and social media channels will be updated with any additional planned actions, as well as any changes to existing schedules.
Thank you and we look forward to Fringing with you soon.
