There are limited SeeMore Theatre Series Packages available, but you can still get yours now! What is the SeeMore Theatre Series Package? It’s four shows for just $79, all held at the Annex on Seymour Street!
The Series kicks off with Taylor Mac‘s Hir on November 22 through December 8. On Hir, the Gaurdian say it “doesn’t merely explore themes of gender fluidity, queer theory and the subversion of toxic masculinity, because that would be dull. It lightens the weight of concepts that many find foreign or fraught, places them in a family setting and detonates them. Shrapnel flies everywhere.”
Then, in April, 2019, Never the Last takes the stage. Based on the life and works of Russian-born Canadian composer, violinist, and pianist Sophie Carmen Eckhardt-Gramatté, the show follows her 10 year love affair with German expressionist painter Walter Gramatté.
The SeeMore Theatre Series gets surreal May 24 through June 7 with rice & beans theatre‘s original show, Chicken Girl. The show encompasses many characters, including a homesick intergalactic rockstar, a human-sized cat, and an employee of a Chinese fried chicken restaurant whose boss has mysteriously disappeared.
Then, July 18 through 27, 2019, Alley Theatre, the company that brought you The Ridiculous Darkness, Three Stories Up: Theatre in the Dark, and Mrs.Warren’s Profession is back with #whatnow, a verbatim theatre/dance piece about sex and hashtags.
You love theatre, so you do not want to miss a great deal on these four shows. To purchase your SeeMore Theatre Series Package, just select at least one ticket to each show and your tickets will be discounted down to $79 for all four shows automatically.
